How to Take The Overwhelm Out Of Social Media!

Tips For Marketing Strategy!

strategyYou may have figured me out by now and know I have a passion for sports. I love watching as well as playing.

This past Sunday in College Football, Liberty University played Baylor. Liberty just moved into a new division and the competition is tough. They were the underdog. It was an exciting game and they won. Good coaching and a great game plan wins games. Having a marketing strategy in business, like having one in football, will bring you success. What’s your strategy for marketing? Do you have one? Do you need one? I believe you do.

5 tips for building a successful market strategy in your business.

1.  Have a social media strategy. Make it part of your daily routine. Currently, I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram. I also have a WordPress website with a blog, which is the flagship of my social media strategy.

Make sure you have clear objectives for your social media strategy. Above all, it should drive traffic to your website. Find the focus that works for your audience. Maybe email campaigns work best, blogging, or ezines. My point is you connecting to people and talking with them.

2.  Build a marketing strategy for connecting offline. This is the hardest for me. This is where you stop hiding behind your computer and get out there in a big way. One thing I am doing is attending a networking event, BNI, Business Network International. BNI has chapters worldwide. So it is very likely you can find one in your town or in a city near you. Do you belong to some kind of networking group?

3.  Help potential clients to develop confidence in you! How do you do that? Give them something for free. I have a free offer to help potential clients build balance in their life and business. This way the potential client can learn if you are the right fit for them in a non-threatening way. In the long run, this should translate into more clients for you!

4.  Create awareness. What are you doing to create the buzz about you? This can be done both online and offline. Offline, I tell everyone I know about my business. It has been stirring up interest and generating questions. It also includes distributing flyers of your upcoming events.

5.  Warm your market. If you are just starting a new business, think about how to introduce your new venture. When I introduced my new Social Media Consulting business, I wrote a warm letter telling my friends and family what I was doing. Have you done this yet?

So what is your strategy? Pick one or all of them and just do it! Comment below and share what you did or plan to do.

Like in Football, strategy has one purpose, to score enough Touchdowns to win. To do that, you have to have a winning strategy in place

It’s the same with business, the goal is to have a successful business with enough revenue to allow you to live the life that you always wanted.

My favorite commercial is the one for Nike. Their slogan is “Just do it!” So what are you waiting for? JUST DO IT!
