How to Take The Overwhelm Out Of Social Media!

Social Media is the Superman of Small Business Marketing!

Small Business MarketingLately there has been a lot of buzz around Social Media Marketing.  I am using it in my business.  And it works.  Why it works for me is I love connecting with people on a personal and business level.  Plus I love to have access to thousands of people that I don’t have a chance to connect with in person in a day.  This technology has brought me to the discovery that this is what I like doing!  I love connecting and creating new relationships everyday.  I love reconnecting with old friends.  I love the plethora of information that is flashing in front of me.  Here is my big “wow” for the week.

When I was younger I always was impressed by the opening narration of Superman!  It stated that Superman was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful that a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.  I was wowed by this and wanted to see all this amazing stuff that Superman did!  Superman was cool.  We all wanted to be superman, yes even girls like me.  I used to put a towel around my neck and fly through my house until my parents decided they had enough of my imagination.

Now I’m fascinated and impressed by social media.  It has that same power!  Social media isn’t a superhero but it’s a super communicator and connector.  So in a sense the tie in here is easy.  Social media is faster than a speeding bullet, before the trigger is pulled the written word and latest video is all over the Internet.   Social media is more powerful than a locomotive.   Amazingly the words and the visuals on the various social platforms have the power to transform and bring you into a new world.  Social media is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.  Clicking “share” enables you to leap higher than you ever have been before.  Have you tried it yet?   Are you using it in your business?

I have found that a lot of owners of small business are resistant to using it because of three reasons. One, they don’t understand it and what it can do.  Two, they think it’s all nonsense.  Three, they don’t have the time.  If you are using any of these reasons, think again.  Social media is the Superman of Marketing in 2017.  Don’t be left behind!

I would love to hear some of your thoughts on Social Media.  Are you using it?  What is your favorite part of it?  What do you see as drawbacks if there is any?  Drop me a line and let me know how you feel about this subject!
